About VAIGAI Trust
Voluntary Action for Integrated Global Awareness and Innovation
Who we are
VAIGAI Trust is a registered, nonprofit service organisation dedicated to the development of deprived communities. It was established in 2002 and focuses on welfare initiatives for women and children and on the efficient management of natural resources for a sustainable future.
Our name stands for Voluntary Action for Integrated Global Awareness and Innovation. It reflects how we work: local volunteers acting together, raising awareness, and trying new ideas in villages, schools and river basins.
With experienced professionals on the executive committee, VAIGAI is guided by a team of eminent personalities as its board of advisors. Staff and volunteers are dedicated to serving the community and the environment at large.
Vision
Empowering marginalised women and disadvantaged children through education and economic means, and bringing them into the mainstream of development measures to secure a better standard of living.
Mission
Using available natural resources through community participation, with mutual benefit, to achieve social and natural well-being.
